• Exposure: Exposure to acrylic acid can cause irritation of the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract, as well as corrosion and burns. It can also cause eye and lung damage, coughing, wheezing, laryngitis, shortness of breath, headache, nausea, and vomiting.
• Safety: Acrylic acid is a hazardous substance and is on the Special Health Hazard Substance List. If you get acrylic acid in your eyes, you should immediately flush them with large amounts of water for at least 30 seconds.
